Italy

Italy has always sent a really good team to the World Cup. This season it won’t be much different however they are not really any close to be big title contenders this time.

Coach Cesare Prandelli is mainly depending on the players he used in the Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Italy was quite successful there but will they manage to repeat a good result 2 years later?

It’s heavily depending on the form that Mario Balotelli will show in Brazil. Former Manchester City forward returned to Italy and is now playing for AC Milan. The club is not really impressing but Balotelli himself looks really strong and with a bit of luck he might be one of the main stars of this tournament.

Andrea Pirlo will surely be given a chance to lead the team in his probably last big tournament as he’s already 34-years-old.
